Here is how God led us step by step in the third quarter of 2025.

A Week of English and Faith

From August 5 to 10, about twenty students from Juan Presbyterian Church in Incheon joined the English camp hosted by MGM. Qualified university professors and teachers from Guam came to the MGM center and taught English through immersion. In the afternoons the students teamed up with local students for games, worship and cultural exchange, and in the second half of the week the church ran its own program of spiritual training and mission-vision teaching. It was more than learning English. It was a precious week of learning how to share the Word and the gospel through language and life.

A New Semester, and the Campus Wakes Up Again

When the new semester began, the HisPlan Movement students went out across campus with handmade evangelism cards, snacks and invitations, sharing the message “You were born to be loved.” Speaking to a stranger is never easy, but they took courage with one heart: “We will share the love of Jesus.” One student said, “I didn’t know there was a place to worship on campus,” and another asked us to pray with them. The meetings were brief, but we came away sure that the gospel is still alive and moving on campus.

One Hundred Dollars a Month

This semester we were able to begin giving scholarships to HisPlan Movement students: one hundred dollars a month to help students in financial need continue their studies and their life of faith. The cost of living and tuition in Guam is no light burden. For a student whose parent has lost a job, or whose family is scattered across several islands, simply staying in school is a test of faith. I hope this scholarship becomes a message to those students that God remembers them. It is possible because of partners who pray and give where no one sees.

A Door Closed by a Funeral, Opened Wider

From September 10 to 15, I traveled to Chuuk with IntoMission. This trip taught us to depend on God from the very start. One week before the outreach, a funeral took place on the island we were planning to visit, and all our plans collapsed in a moment. When everything we had prepared so carefully came to a halt, fear and confusion set in.

Then I remembered a meeting from several years ago: a short conversation with an elementary school principal, and a small promise that I would come back someday with a mission team. With trembling I contacted her, and she said, “Please come.” God had already prepared the way.

The night before the outreach, we shared honestly before God. We talked about the frustration of a gospel that stays inside the church, and about the limits caused by the historical separation between the islands. One direction became clear.

We prayed together with one heart: that tomorrow’s ministry would not end in a single day, that the gospel would spread from this school to schools on other islands, and that in the end worship would be established inside the schools.

The next day at Sino Memorial Elementary School on Tonoas, we met 200 children. Thanks to the school’s kindness, we could be with the children from arrival to dismissal and even share lunch. Before the children’s pure joy and their shining eyes as they heard the gospel, we felt God’s presence vividly. When the camp ended, the principal said:

“Thank you so much for coming to a place where nobody comes. Could you possibly come again? Would it be possible at schools on other islands, too?”

In that moment we knew the vision God had shown us was already beginning to come true. Our steps continued to a college campus. Students were away for the weekend, but we sang and prayed in the empty courtyard. We planted seeds of faith, dreaming of the day a college prayer group is established there and a fire of prayer burns on every island and every campus in Micronesia. And I prayed that God would use me in that place.

The door closed by a funeral, God turned into a bigger one. From elementary school to college, God’s vision for the next generation has already begun.
