Eric Ji’s Prayer Letter

Dear partners in ministry,

Here are some of the times we worshiped together and shared the gospel together in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Youngeun Church: Worshiping and Sharing Together

In early October, Youngeun Church from Seoul visited Guam and joined the HisPlan Movement for campus worship. After sharing the grace of being united with the next generation through the Word, the team visited Zero Down Church, in a run-down area where many Micronesian immigrants live, and served through evangelism and children’s ministry. There was laughter the whole time as we sang and shared the Word with the children, and we saw the gospel cross language and culture naturally. At an early-morning market, they blessed the vendors and neighbors by opening the day with worship. It was a short visit, but worship, evangelism, children’s ministry and community service all came together.

Once a Month, Worship with Local Young Adults

At the MGM center we hold a worship night with local young adults once a month. It is an open worship that invites not only HisPlan Movement students but also young people from the community who were outside the church. Our lives are different, yet in song and prayer our hearts come together. One young man came back to worship after a long time away, and another experienced community worship for the first time. I am thankful this gathering is becoming a spiritual bridge between Guam’s next generation and local young adults.

The “Word Prison”

At the campus fall festival we set up a tent and an evangelism booth in the middle of the school. The highlight was a game the students came up with themselves, the “Word Prison.” A participant steps into a small wooden jail and can only get out by reading and meditating on a Bible verse on a Word card. It is simple, but the message is clear, and it stopped many students in their tracks.

Students who came in out of curiosity said afterward, “This is meaningful,” and “I’ve never seen evangelism like this.” A few stayed behind to talk more.

The students learned firsthand that the gospel can be shared creatively while its heart stays clear.

Love Shared Through the Word and the Table

This quarter, too, Pastor Kiju Lee and Missionary Yeram Lee came to visit the campus church. Despite their busy schedules, they preached at our worship and encouraged the students in their lives and faith, and they shared a meal they had prepared with care, listening to each student’s story. The students experienced again that the church is a community that cares.

The HisPlan Movement scholarship also continued this quarter. One hundred dollars a month gives students in financial need the strength not to give up on their studies and their faith. For one student, it may have been the comfort of “you are not alone.” It is possible because of the faithful prayers and gifts of our partners.

At the end of the semester, just before winter break, we held a worship service to thank God for leading us through the term. Together we confessed that it was grace that we could keep coming to worship through exams, assignments, and worries about money and the future. We prayed that God would keep the students safe over the break and make their calling for the next semester clear.
