Eric Ji’s Prayer Letter

Dear partners in ministry,

The first three months of 2026 have passed. Looking back, I can only confess how carefully God’s hand moved, far beyond any plan of mine.

The Table We Gather Around

This quarter, our weekly Tuesday worship at HisPlan Movement received a new name: The TABLE.

It is a place where Jesus welcomes us, feeds us with his Word, and shapes us into a family. That one name holds the community we dream of: a table where everyone is welcome, nourished by the Word, and built up together like family. Every Tuesday, young people in Guam gather around this table to meet God and to meet one another.

A beautiful hand was added to this table. Young adults from a church in Pohang, Korea, served the meal for The TABLE worship. Hearing about a campus ministry on a small island across the Pacific, they prepared a meal with real care to serve our students. Reaching out gladly for young people in Guam they had never met is, I think, exactly the community The TABLE dreams of. Jesus’ table was not staying in one place. It was crossing the sea.

Mission Training and the Campus Rally

From February 8 to 14, MGM hosted a mission training week together with IntoMission, Nameless and Light On, on the theme “Understanding the Basics of Mission and Field Experience.” Through lectures, small-group sharing and hands-on ministry, the young people learned everything from the biblical foundations of mission to the real situation in Micronesia. Mission was no longer a story about a faraway country. It was here, now, and our own work.

On the last day, February 14, the campus rally took place. Only three days before, the location and date suddenly changed. The thought crossed my mind that this year’s rally would be difficult, and human calculation and worry came first. But the moment the rally began, I was ashamed I had thought that way. God always works in his own way, and I was still measuring what is easy and hard with narrow eyes.

The result was pure grace. The young people had grown beyond comparison with last year, and their attitude toward worship was more serious than ever. When I felt that a year of weeping and laughing, worshiping and training together had not been in vain, warmth rose from deep in my chest. This was not the fruit of a program. It was proof that God had touched people at the center of their hearts.

The Keyboard from Changsin Jeil Church

A young adult mission team from Changsin Jeil Church in Seoul visited Guam, toured our mission field with us, and joined campus worship. They brought hanbok from Korea and wore them with the students, and laughter filled the room. They also cooked a meal and served it to the students.

What moved me most was the keyboard they gave us for campus worship. It was too big to check as luggage, so they bought an extra airline seat to bring it. I cannot put that kind of love into words. Every time the young people sing on this keyboard, the love of Changsin Jeil Church will ring out with them.

The Love in a Cup of Ramen

It is hard to believe, but on a college campus quite a few students skip lunch because they cannot afford it. So for a while I kept cups of instant ramen stacked in my office and handed them out. It was nothing grand. I just wanted to hand a hungry student something warm. Gratefully, members of Guam Evergreen Presbyterian Church joined in gladly, and now we can share generously. A single cup of ramen becomes a message to a student: someone remembers me.

In February, about 25 campus students and local young adults gathered for a joint worship night. There were tears and healing that evening. Young people who had been holding on to the gospel alone found one another, sang together, and realized, “I was not alone.” I think it is an important beginning that we will keep widening.

This quarter, students from the Global Hotel Management department at Baekseok University in Korea also came to Guam and ran a two-week English camp. It was a time where faith and education came together, and in the children’s shining eyes we felt the gospel being shared through language and life.
