You Were Chosen for a Purpose

Many of us spend a great deal of energy trying to figure out what we are supposed to do with our lives. We wonder if we are in the right place, the right major, the right season. We compare our path to others and wonder if we are falling behind. Calling can feel like something we have to discover on our own, some hidden treasure we might miss if we are not careful enough.
But Jesus reframes the whole conversation. He says: you did not choose me. I chose you. Calling does not begin with you figuring out the right answer. It begins with God's initiative. He placed you where you are with intention. He equipped you with gifts that are not accidental. And He appointed you to bear fruit that lasts, not just fruit that looks impressive for a season, but something that endures.
That means the place you are standing right now is not a waiting room. It is the field. Your calling is not just about some future role or title, it is about how you live today, in this moment, with the people around you. Stay faithful here. The fruit will come.

“Father, thank You for choosing me before I ever had it all figured out. Help me to stop waiting for a perfect moment and to start living out my calling right where I am. Show me how to be faithful with what You have placed in my hands today.”
